Making A Purchase
Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your shopping click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete your order.
We accept direct credit card payments made through WorldPay. You can also call us on 01298 211135 and we will process your credit or debit card payment directly over the phone. You can also pay by Paypal. If you are shopping from North America or anywhere else, place your order and Paypal will convert the transaction to US Dollars or your own currency.
If you are outside the UK then you must pay using WorldPay or Paypal. For those within the UK you may send a personal cheque, postal order or cash but remember that this will delay the despatch of your order
If you have made a mistake in your order and cannot correct it in the shopping cart, contact us and we will correct the mistake.
Shipping And Handling
Within the U.K. postage is free on all purchases. Please note the following.
All U.K. orders are sent via the cheapest available Royal Mail Recorded Delivery postal service unless you choose otherwise. Recorded Delivery requires a signature upon delivery but it DOES NOT provide insurance against loss in transit.
If your order is of a high value we strongly recommend that you choose Royal Mail Special Delivery as an option during checkout. Your order will only be insured againt loss if you choose Special Delivery.
Albert Prendergast Limited accepts no liability for parcels that become lost in the U.K. postal system. We strongly recommend that you use Special Delivery for all high value orders. This service can be selected from 'Class of Service' during the checkout procedure.
Outside the U.K. I offer significantly subsidised postage and packing rates. These will be displayed at the time of checkout.
All overseas orders are dispatched via 'Airsure Track & Trace'. If Airsure does not operate in your country then your parcel will be dispatched via 'International Signed For'. For larger or bulky orders then we may choose to use UPS or a similar international carrier.
We deliver your order right away. We will normally send your order to you in 3 business days. International orders are generally received in under 10 days.
Items that require alterations or that have to be made to order will take a little longer to get to you. Please see the individual listings for how long delivery may take.
You must inform us within two working days if the goods are lost or damaged in transit so that we can make a prompt claim against the post office or carrier and correct the problem. Please quote your order number in all correspondence.
If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.
Value Added Tax is included in all of our prices and is charged on all U.K. and E.U. orders. Orders placed from outside the E.U. and then exported outside the E.U. will qualify for VAT exemption.
If you are making a purchase from outside the Economic Union (Europe) then you will be responsible for any import charges and purchase tax that are levied by your local government on items that are imported from the E.U.

We guarantee your satisfaction. <All of our products come with a 30 day no quibble guarantee.> The only exception are;
1. If your garment has been altered or adjusted in any way.
2. If you have placed a special order for a made to measure or bespoke garment.
3. For hygiene reasons underwear cannot be returned.

Albert Prendergast Limited do not disclose buyers' information to third parties other than when order details are processed as part of the order fulfilment. In this case, the third party will not disclose any of the details to any other third party.

Your rights to return goods are protected under the EU Distance Selling Directive.
You are entitled to cancel your order and return the goods within 7 working days for a full refund, including the cost of delivery. Do this by contacting me by email or telephone and quoting the order number supplied to you. Your refund will be paid within 30 days. (Usually much sooner.) You are responsible for the cost and risk of loss or damage when returning the goods, so you should take out enough postal insurance to cover their value. This cancellation policy does not affect your rights when we are at fault - for example, if goods are faulty or misdescribed.
The only exceptions to the above are as follows;
1) We cannot accept returns on shorts, skirts, dresses or gymslips that have been shortened from the standard length. Similarly, returns will not be accepted where belt loops or brace buttons have been added to shorts. We cannot accept blazer returns if grossgrain braid has been added as a trim option. If you require an alteration then it is your responsibilty to ensure that you have ordered the correct size.
2) We cannot accept returns of special order, made to measure or bespoke garments. This includes, made to order items such as; bespoke blazers, sandals, gymslip sashes, etc.
3) For hygiene reasons underwear may not be returned.
Any goods returned should be in saleable condition.
These terms apply to your order. We may change my terms and conditions at any time, so please do not assume that the same terms will apply in the future.
None of these terms affect your legal rights and these are not diminished in any way. If any term is held to be invalid under any applicable statute or rule of law, that term is automatically omitted from the terms to minimum extent necessary to comply with the law and without affecting the validity or enforceability of the remainder.
